I'm glad. I know they limit you nowadays unless you're willing to
climb around inside of CSS files and roll your own look, but was
hoping you could find something useful in the default offerings. I
currently use the Clearlooks and Splint-Left combination for mine on
this ancient Ubuntu MATE release and was able to come up with
highlighting that worked with Claws Mail. I'll shortly be leaving
Ubuntu MATE behind, though, mainly because of the limitations they've
put on theming and the hoops they make you jump through if you want
to seriously customize them.

I feel your pain. I've had the occasional struggle with those
downloadable themes, too, and ended up rage-quitting and accepting
what was already there as my only choices.

Yes, and it can be dangerous to experiment in if time is of the
essence, so user beware when messing around in there.
