Well, at $JOB, we have Apple users connected to our M365 tenant, and they
are quite happy with the Microsoft Outlook for their Mac, as well as the
iPhone applications.
I can't tell which protocols have been implemented by Microsoft in these
applications, but I'd rather think they are not simply providing Imap
support.
