[Users] feature request; ability to collapse selected message threads

Programmers,

In message view, a thread of messages has become so long that the
subject text is mostly invisible in the message list window because of
the indentation. :)

It would be nice to be able to collapse a thread of message, yet
retain thread message view mode for all other messages.
