[Translators] not sure about the meaning of a string

Given this string:

how should I read it ?

[Simplify Subject] (using) RegExp
or
Simplify [Subject RegExp] (assuming there is somewhere a regexp already defined for Subject)

I looked at the DE, ES, FR and IT translations, but the confusion deepened :)
