DM: Paul, I'm not sure if this will be of any help, but if you decide
to pursue this, one sample / example solution is the pcmanfm file
manager. In their settings they have drop-down menus for at least a
couple different sets of icons where you can choose the size of those
icons. Currently I always change some of these from '24x24' to '20x20'
so that things are a bit more compact. FWIW, ---Dustin
