            Bug ID: 4854
           Summary: auto-wrapping off not respected when using external
                    editor
           Product: Claws Mail
           Version: 4.3.1
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: UI/Compose Window
          Assignee: users at lists.claws-mail.org
          Reporter: sbstst at yahoo.com

## Claws-mail version:
debian bookworm-backports, v. 4.3.1-1~bpo12+1
Doesn't happen with v. 4.1.1 (bookworm 4.1.1-2+b1) (no bug in that wersion)

## Description:
When I write a text using gvim as external editor, when I save-exit the
message, the compose window shows the text auto-wrapped, despite
"Auto-wrapping" is off.

Not using an external editor but the native editor gives the expected behavior
(no bug in that case).

## System Information
MXLinux with Debian bookworm
xfce 4.20 (4.20+mx23)
GTK 3.24.38 / GLib 2.74.6
Locale: en_US.UTF-8 (charset: UTF-8)
Operating System: Linux 6.1.0-32-amd64 (x86_64)

## How to reproduce:
In Preferences/Message View/External Programs, set "Text editor' to "gvim -f
--socketid %w %s"
In Preferences/Compose/Wrapping uncheck all but "Auto indent", and set "Wrap
text" to 72

I have now in clawsrc:
ext_editor_command=gvim -f --socketid %w %s
linewrap_auto=0

Restart claws, to be sure that the new config is applied..
Compose a msg with a long line in gvim (loaded by claws), then exit with ZZ (or
:wq), the text is wrapped in the compose window, despite auto-wrapping is off.

Many thanks for your work!
