That doesn't need to change.

There is no hint at IMAP here. The proposed solution works for POP and IMAP
accounts.

You say there is more than one account server and many identities. Does that
mean each server account has several "identities"?

Do you have so many "identities" that it is the problem to create matching
sub-folders under Inbox, filter into them, and use the folder Properties as
suggested?
