A repeat which may have got lost:
Things are now getting interesting. I looked in clawsrc in .claws-mail and found that it gave the source of the GTK2 plugins as /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/claws-mail/plugins/ (or, rather, "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/claws-mail/plugins//usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/claws-mail/plugins/" - should it say it twice?). I looked there and, indeed, they were all present, although the list in Claws Mail itself was blank. Any ideas? Where should I go from here?
I have to rush now, but as soon as I have time I'll start poking around the contents of other files. Suggestions as to where most usefully to look would be appreciated,
John
I'm back now. I should have time to do a lot more investigating tomorrow GMT. But I'm considering saving all the files in ~/.claws-mail and reinstalling, then replacing the new files with old ones, one by one and seeing what happens.

Why do you need to do that? I thought you said you'd just lost your
passwords.

After you've installed them, go to /Configuration/Plugins, click the Load
button and proceed ... this is all in the documentation.

with regards

Paul
