[Users] Installing bogofilter and other plugins

With a previous install of Claws Mail, I seem to remember it was easy to
install popular plugins. Either they came pre-populated or there was a
link to download them to a given directory. Maybe I built it from
source and it created them.
This time I installed from a Ubuntu snap (which didn't work) and then an
Ubuntu .deb package. Neither contain bogofilter.so.
Trying to build from source is getting me into all sorts of dependency
problems. Ubuntu 24.04 doesn't have the required glib and gtk
dependency packages, or else has renamed them beyond all recognition.
I know I'll need to work out the new way of installing C etc
development tools, but while recovering from a system disaster it's not
top of my priorities.
I found some old bogofilter.so files, but trying to install them gave
"Your version of Claws Mail is newer than the version the 'Bogofilter'
plugin was built with."
Is there a source for pre-built plugin .so files for the different
releases for standard architectures? I'm using Claws Mail 4.2.0.
