DM: Have you checked whether the file permissions are the problem?
Another angle would be to compare / contrast the setups of your old and
new laptops, noting any things that are different. That might then help
you come up with a short-list of things to look into for this and other
issues that only show up on the new laptop. HTH, ---Dustin
