Thank you. I probably wasn't clear enough in my original post. I am
well aware of the problem of replies being sent to both the list and
the poster, but that is not what I am talking about. These messages
are not duplicates because they are addressed to different
recipients.

I often see identical messages  in the Message List. When I use Tools >
Delete Duplicated Messages they are cleaned up, leaving only one copy
of the message. I am curious as to what causes these duplicates.
