I did say AIUI in my post.  I was just wrong.   :-)

From reading the bogomigration (bogoupgrade here, in Debian) script, I
/think/ it's clever enough to handle that situation.  Of course, it
would be wise to make a copy of wordlist.db to help mitigate against any
undesirable nastiness.
