By default only headers/status are downloaded. "Get mail" will download those
from the inbox and any other imap folder that has "scan for new mail" set.

An exception to that is if you filter messages when fetching and you use a
filter rule that requires the message body, then the whole message will be
downloaded.

So, as we see, 'download messages' is not the same as 'get mail'.
