[Users] no proxy dns? Why not socks5 127.0.0.1?

Does it make direct DNS calls or does it use the system's resolver
functions via glib?

In most situations it is, but localhost will mostly mapped to 127.0.0.1
and ::1. A difference will exists if the service only runs on one of
those addresses.
