That's an old stable version, you should upgrade to Debian 11 (bullseye)
which is current stable:

Bullseye has available a more recent version in the backports
repository:

https://packages.debian.org/search?suite=bullseye-backports&searchon=names&keywords=claws-mail

Once your system is upgraded, you can enable backports as described
here:

https://backports.debian.org/Instructions/

And then upgrade claws-mail package to the version above.
