Ok, Du hast also noch nicht soviel Erfahrung mit Email ...

Zunächst die Grundlagen:

Email Senden:   SMTP oder IMAP
Email Lesen/Empfangen:  POP oder IMAP

Was ist der Unterschied?

(1) Email mit POP lesen:  die Email wird auf den PC heruntergeladen und
vom Yahoo Server gelöscht

(2) Email mit SMTP senden: die Email wird vom PC zum Yahoo Server
geschickt; in Claws sie wird als "gesendet" markiert

IMAP

(1) Email mit IMAP senden: die Email wird zum Yahoo Mail Account
geschickt und von dort zum Empfänger
    Die Email verbleibt sowohl in Claws als auch im Yahoo Server


(2) Email mit IMAP lesen (e.g. Home Computer) -> die Email wird nicht
vom Yahoo Server gelöscht! Dies heißt: du kannst die auch noch einmal
vom Smartphone lesen (oder vom Work PC)!


Anmerkung: Natürlich kannst du jederzeit IMAP Emails from Yahoo Server
löschen!


Anmerkung 2: In Claws kannst Du sowohl IMAP Mail Accounts anlegen als
auch SMTP/POP Accounts!
