No. CM has always had support for IMAP and POP. Wrong guess.

If CM was to maintain its own state for IMAP msgs that would break IMAP. It
is only 'safe' to automatically filter New messages as otherwise these
could/will have been filtered previously, and then previously filtered msgs
would be wrongly filtered again. That would be quickly be really irritating,
imo. Fortunately, filtering can be run manually for ultimate flexibility,
allowing the user to achieve what is required, and negating the need for your
idea. There is also folder Processing, of course, for even more possibilities.
