Is there a way to set a default template for applying to ALL
reply messages ?

I notice that an initial template is stored as filename "1" (no ext)
in the /template directory, if not currently thus - perhaps an addition
to the coding might be to automatically apply a template file renamed
"0" (zero) to ALL reply messages.
If it doesn't exist, format remains at default null.

The process of initiating the 'reply', then pulling down another menu
to select a template is laborious for applying a template to EVERY
response written.  Esp when replying to many various addresses, on many
various subjects.

Or would the .signature template allow the use of named variable codes,
and reformat the reply according to that ?

Doing this basically to apply a 'reply above' function (ala Sylpheed).
Which is selected by a tick-box in 'preferences' setting menu.
