I was using CM in both, Linux and Windows environment, until i
got 64b Win (>10 years ago). In that time i was not able to get
CM to work reliable, then i switch to TB on Win and stay on it until
now.

From my point of view, the TB is not replacement, it does it job,
but it miss essential (for me) features, yes some of them can
be added to TB by plugin(s), but TB plugins is separate story...

Many CM features are done by plugins too, but these plugins
are managed by CM devs, thus no compatibility problems
as in TB (i had to abandon a lot of TB plugins in last years).

Thus, IMO, there are only some things, which are not as simple
in CM as in TB (but most is doable), if you are using them:

+ HTML emails (i don't use that)
+ OpenPGP is not directly integrated (but works great)
+ RSS -- i use external app (i don't remember why)
+ no CalDAV, that one is really missing for me
+ no CardDAV, but i got r/o by external app

I consider CM as better than TB on Linux, i know nothing
about current status of CM on Windows. BTW, while TB
works reliable, i consider it as bad for users...

regards
