I'm running Claw Mail on a beefy gamer machine with lots of free memory and
CPU. Of all the email clients I've tested so far, Claw Mail has been the least
bad. However, with the large number of emails I have (hundreds of thousands),
it still becomes almost unusable. Why? If there's free memory and CPU, why
doesn't it use them? I believe some optimization is lacking. My machine almost
freezes, the directories become 'empty,' and I can't navigate between folders.
The mouse icon always remains a 'hourglass' all the time. To read my emails, I
have to click on a directory and wait about 20 minutes for something to appear.
Isn't there a way to optimize this somehow? I believe the advantage of IMAP is
precisely not having to download everything at once and to download on demand,
or at least do it at low priority without locking up the entire interface.
