Subject: [Reminder] Migrate your OAuth out-of-band flow to an alternative method before Oct. 3, 2022

OAuth out-of-band flow will be blocked for your production OAuth clients.

Our records indicate you have OAuth clients in test mode that are using the
OAuth OOB flow.

Hello Google OAuth Developer,

We are writing to inform you that OAuth out-of-band (OOB) flow will be
deprecated on October 3, 2022, to protect users from phishing and app
impersonation attacks.

Please check our recent blog post about Making Google OAuth interactions
safer for more information.

What do I need to do?

No action is required on your part as apps using OOB in testing mode will
not be affected by this change. However, we strongly recommend you to
migrate to safer methods as these apps will be immediately blocked when
switching to production status.

If you have already migrated your app(s) to an alternative OAuth method, no
further action is required. Please note that if your app(s) is natively
installed you may have to request your users to update the app to the newer
version to stop using the OOB method.

If you want to publish your app(s) to production, follow these instructions:

Determine your app(s) client type from your Google Cloud project by
following the client links below. See the Setting up OAuth 2.0 page for
more information.
Migrate your app(s) to a more secure alternative method by following the
instructions in the blog post linked above for your client type.

The following OAuth client(s) are using the OOB flow in test mode.

Project ID: claws-355522

Client:

Thanks for choosing Google OAuth.
