Let me try to rephrase it to help Paul understand:
In the compose Window, when you start typing an address (To:, Cc:, ...)
and use the <TAB> key, you have a drop down list with all the
possibilities matching what you have typed so far.
That drop down list is exactly <N-1> items long, with a scrollbar on the
right, N being the number of addresses matching what you started typing.
For example, with my config, if I type:
  luc<TAB>
I have 22 addresses matching, but the drop-down "shows" 21, a scroll bar,
and I have to scroll to see the last one. If I type
  thierry<TAB>
I have 9 addresses matching, but the drop-down "shows" 8, a scroll bar,
and I have to scroll to see the last one.

Hence the "N-1 entries" Alain is describing.
(I'm using Claws-4.1.0git71, updated this morning after Michael's push
regarding OAuth2).

Hope this makes it more clear.... I don't exclude this is related to some
GUI configuration options.

Regards,
Paul
