Thanks Paul, that helps. Is this common enough that it warrants an
entry in the Wiki, perhaps?

That's curious. Any idea what the difference is? It seems at least a
couple folks -- myself included -- that have complained of this are
XFCE users, so perhaps it has to do with the GTK 3 integration by the
desktop environment?
