I configured the shortcut feature at
Preferences -> Other -> Miscellaneous

It says that I could configure shortcuts manually by using the menu and
focusing on a menu entry and then press the desired shortcuts. Unfortunately
this does not work right now for any menu entry. I remember long time ago this
worked.
