DM: Hi, Rosemary. When you say you 'have Python installed', what
exactly do you mean? Depending what you installed and how you installed
it, there may be certain python-related things that are necessary but
are not currently installed. I think this depends on whether
you're using the default install for your system and/or are using
packages to do the install(s), and the names of different packages can
also be distro-specific. As a basic hypothetical example based on what
I've observed on my current Linux Mint 20.3 system, I might be able to
run a program CoolSoft with just the 'coolsoft' package installed, but
if I want to compile / build the program I might first need to install
the 'coolsoft-dev' package. Anyway, if it were me, this is the area I
would check out first, making sure you have everything python-related
installed that you need for building Claws. HTH, ---Dustin
