This is nothing to do with that. The misnomer 'less secure apps' means apps
that's don't use oauth2 to connect to google's servers to send mail through
them. This is about receiving mail to your gmail account.

Since the last release(s) (4.0.0 and 3.18.0) Claws Mail has support for
oauth2, so it can now dance to gmail's beat.
