I tested the fowarding feature of GMail. Set it up and all verfied to
send all emails to another account. Sent 3 test emails to the GMail
account, and 5 hours later they still haven't arrived. Logged into
GMail and they are still sitting in the inbox, despite the 'rule' setup
to fwd and then delete GMail's copy.

Checked our email server logs and there have been no attempts from
Gmail to deliver the messages.

Obviously sending all emails to another account negates the need to use
the GMail browser interface. If I login from 'another device' (which
usually isn't another device at all, but Google thinks it is), I get an
email reminder (to the same 'other' account) within a few minutes.

I do use POP3 from Claws to check on any Microsoft / live.com emails.
It is free also.

Regards,

Peter
