[Users] CM freezes when typing a message.

Hello,
When I write an email, I often find that claws mail stops responding for
a few seconds. If I keep typing, the words go onto this compose window,
but I can't see them for a while. This has happened no less than 7 times
since I started composing this message. Is there any setting I can change
to fix this?

Claws mail 3.17.8
Devuan (Debian) Linux kernel 5.15.X.
