Well, I really want it to be in official repository, but this means
review and testing. Better is even more review and testing. Maybe some
branch could be created in git repository for this, I don't know.
Developers should decide.

I am ready to help with initial testing, but as a newcomer to git I
have only limited knowledge on the process. Actually, whole development
was done without using git, just some files were added to extracted
tarball files.

I think this debate should be moved to developers' mailing list, maybe
you can show an interest by responding to thread given above, where
sources are provided for now.
