Sorry I misunderstood the original question in the direction of another related question that I had in mind: how to check my attachments BEFORE sending (while composing, not after sending, in sent folder).

Clearly there is a very simple workaround: save message as draft, then open attachments in drafts.

I wasn't able to figure out until this discussion.
