I'd rather report the crashes, in the event that perhaps one of them
isn't a duplicate of one already reported.

An individual affiliated with Red Hat, submitted a patch to the X11
group on GitLab several months ago, that was described as fixing the
issue, but it appears nothing has been done regarding it, up to now.

As it has been several months, would it be reasonable/allowable for the
Fedora maintainer(s) to simply test and add the patch to Fedora's
libx11, rather than wait for upstream?

The PC in question currently uses on-board video and the chipset
allocates 256MB of RAM for it, but another question, is whether that's
enough? There isn't a setting in the BIOS to change the amount of
memory allocated for video.
