Due to the sandbox approach of snaps and flatpaks it could make a
difference. AFAIK the more advanced and more bloated Evolution mailer
doesn't offer all features, when sandboxed by a sanp or flatpak. It
might be no issue for Claws Mail, but for some software it could make a
big difference.
