Just out of curiosity, i turned on for my pop mailbox the 'APOP' setting.
But i get this error:
* Account 'xyz': Connecting to POP3 server: pop.bla.foo:995...
[02:41:23] POP< +OK POP server ready H migmx108 1MK4uc-1jvDWj2vlO-00Lqfe
*** Required APOP timestamp not found in greeting
*** Error occurred while processing mail.
I tried and got the same APOP error for another mail host / account too.
i'm on the road and this is arguably an old claws version 3.17.3 in an old Debian Linux Laptop but i am on the road with no access to anything better, and for difficult reasons, also can't update.
Settings are "Use SSL/TLS" for both POP and SMTP and ports left to claws (apparently 995 and 465 are used).
My question in the first place is, does APOP (because it says it's 'secure') such a damm good thing that i better would use it ?
