I was able to reproduce the problem in a simple "hello world" application.
So, I guess this is indeed unrelated to ClawsMail. You get a price too for this
instead of an apology ;) : a free download, by your choice, of the undernet IRC
daemon, GNU which, The C++ debugging library libcwd (recommended), Elliptic
Curve Cryptography library (libecc), ext3grep (the tool to recover deleted
files from ext3), or any of the other 40 or so repositories by yourstruly from
github among which a Quantum Computer Simulator, a GTK Chessboard Widget, A
library to find memory leaks (libmemleak) and many high quality C++ libraries.
