what is considered a long password?
It is all ASCII characters the password. 
3.16.0 is the latest available version for my system.

I didn't change the password until I started having this problem.
The only connection that I can make is that I deleted some stored password (not
for this program) in my system (Ubuntu 18.04 LTS for 32 bits) and around after
that this problem started to happen.
