[Users] CM v. CM-gtk3

Hi,

Any quick trick to build CM and CM-gtk3 in a non-conflicting way?

I'm building CM in /usr/local/src/claws and CM-gtk3 in /usr/gtk3/claws;
but both end up in /usr/local/bin.  I can rename each claws-mail to
claws-mail2 or claws-mail3 as appropriate; but they conflict when running
-- only the last one installed runs without problems (other than bugs or
features :)

Short of re-writing the Makefile, anyone have a clue stick?
