That's not google code. That's the old D-Bus connector for AWN (Avant Window
Navigator). It used to be hosted at google.code, when that existed. This
seems to be the reason they chose that name.

You need to build Claws Mail with D-Bus support and be using AWN for that
code to do anything. What you saw was a check for AWN.
