            Bug ID: 3948
           Summary: Spellchecker causes crash when German umlauts are used
                    (ö, ä, ü, ...)
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: Claws Mail
           Version: 3.16.0
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: UI/Compose Window/Spell Checker
          Assignee: users at lists.claws-mail.org
          Reporter: andy641 at gmx.at

The spellchecker causes a crash when German umlauts (ö, ä, ü, ...) are typed
into the compose dialog. GDB prints the following error message:

Thread 1 "claws-mail" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x00007fffe459d976 in hspell_check_word () from /usr/lib/libhspell.so.0

If I disable spellchecking in the settings dialog, everything works fine. I am
using Arch Linux.
