it is good practice to stick with one topic per thread. If you are really intersted in why yahoo is slow, you should open a separate thread; but i also believe you should direct that question to some Yahoo support in the first place.

But then we probably can anticipate the answer .... in a nutshell, while Google knows how to deal with big data efficiently, and usually is doing a good job, Yahoo was always a pain in the ass.

In terms of privacy there is no real good guy out there, IMHO, but of course Google is also more efficiently doing a good job in having ways of profiling you. Go figure.
