[Users] Latest on MacOS/OSX support

I have recently switched to a Mac, after years of using Windows and
Linux desktops. I really miss my favorite email client (by far),
claws.

I have seen the wiki page:

But it seems a few years old, and itself was based on an email back in
2012.  Also it seems based on running an entire X environment on your
mac... and I'm not keen on doing that just for email (my laptop has
enough stuff running already).

I've also seen bug 3381:

But it seems Igor hasn't had time to work on this since 2014.

Is there anyone who uses claws on a mac these days? Anyone who wants to?
