The best solution I've found for that is to just unsubscribe the "All
Mail" and "Important" folders. Its just a redundant use of bandwidth
anyway.

I think its better to have them for at least one reason: If you ever
intend to also use Gmail's web-based version any time, then there will
be a problem as Gmail saves all its sent mail in the [Gmail]/Sent Mail
folder whereas the Claws Mail's standard "Sent" folder will be shown
there as [imap]/Sent, so its better to keep both since you might want
to refer to both the Sent folders at times. The other option is to mark
the Gmail's Sent folder as canonical, in that case you'll have to go to
the account Configuration and tell Claws Mail to put Sent mail into
Gmail's Sent folder, so that all your Sent mails will be in this one
big folder. Other than that, there shouldn't be any major issues.
