Based on the log you provided, it seems like some of the old configuration
files got corrupted and I was going to test a few scenarios when I'd get a bit
of time.

I am not aware of any change over the years that would make an older
configuration incompatible, but it could be that there was (or still is?) some
bug in the Windows port specifically that could cause this.
