I meant i'd like to know the reason, why maildir should be 'out of view' (if that was meant by 'other then plain sight'). There are several possibilities and it is not obvious. 

But yes, i see now that i mistook Chris for the OP.   Looks like it deleted the first few mails of the thread already. Sorry, Chris !
