I suppose, but the larger, more important question is why that
restriction is there to begin with. It does not exist in MS Outlook.

I had forgotten that I had reported this deficiency awhile ago. I have
been using MS Outlook at work, so I did not notice the problem. Now
that I am working at home with claws-mail, the problem is manifesting
itself again. The only truly functional way to handle this is to use MS
Outlook for my municipal email account at home too. Sadly I have
neither the time, inclination nor probably the skill to start writing
scripts for what, in my opinion, should already be supported behavior in
claws-mail to begin with.

Thanks for your response.
