No it doesn't.

The OP should not link the config including the folderlist ;), just the
parent mail folder should become a link.

Assumed the OP creates a new folder, than when using a link, by my
understanding should Claws Linux and Claws Windows automagically
generate a correct folderlist, that fits to the correct syntax, / vs \.
