Just to calrify my response on the tracker...

You need to issue this command:

sudo apt-get install claws-mail-pgpinline claws-mail-pgpmime claws-mail-smime-plugin

Then, in Claws Mail, go to /Configuration/Plugins, click the 'Load'
button, select pgpinline.so, pgpcore.so, pgpmime.so, and smime.so and
click 'OK'.
