If other programs (e.g. file managers, the ls command) exhibit the same
case-sensitive sorting behavior, it may be that your Void system has
the environment variable LC_COLLATE set to something undesirable.  IME,
leaving it unset causes most programs to sort case insensitively.

But if other programs are sorting things case insensitively already, my
post is probably just a red herring.
