Yes, it is solution, but IMO bad. You have more options to solve it:
a) under XFCE is shortcut to drag window by any place with default
(AFAIK - i don't use the default one) Left Alt + Left Mouse
b) you can use the wmctrl with the -e option to define new window
position and size (get windows list by the -l option)
c) you can close CM and tweak the values under ~/.claws-mail/clawsrc
mainwin_x=1276
mainwin_y=0
mainwin_width=1831
mainwin_height=1007
d) etc ;-)

F11?
Be sure to properly close CM at end of session, i have issues with this
and the CM is killed and then no new values are written into rc file.
