[Users] claws-mail files question

I have upgraded my operating system to a new version of Linux. This was
a fresh install so I don't have my addressbook, filtering, and
preferences.

Can the folders/files be copied from a backup copy of the
original claws-mail folder to the new installation without a problem?
Would any special procedure need to be followed?

The new version is 3.12 and the original was 3.10.1.
