Hello,

I did submit issue (https://github.com/untitaker/vdirsyncer/issues/314) to the
author of vdirsyncer who is very helpful in this regard and proposed possible
workaround which could work, but without possibility to edit contacts within
Claws, but using e.g. khard (https://github.com/scheibler/khard/).

He confirms that it works - see #314 comments - but, I have to re-create my old
Claws setup to test and confirm.
